ABOUT CENSCOPE

The Centre for Social Cohesion, Peace and Empowerment (CENSCOPE) is a national non-profit organization duly registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission. Established in 2018 and headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State, CENSCOPE was founded in response to the humanitarian challenges arising from armed conflict and natural disasters.

CENSCOPE is committed to promoting self-sustainability, equality, and social justice, with programmatic interventions focused on peacebuilding, social cohesion, protection, gender equality and inclusion, livelihoods, education, WASH, climate change, health, and nutrition.

The organization works in partnership with national and international stakeholders, including UN agencies and international non-governmental organizations, to deliver principled humanitarian assistance and contribute to sustainable development outcomes.

With support from the Malala Fund, CENSCOPE is implementing a three-year project to advance Gender-Responsive Education Budgeting (GREB) in Borno State, supporting efforts to secure dedicated budget lines for the re-entry and retention of married, pregnant, and parenting girls in education.
